Monfalcone, CPM concludes last shipments for the Vessel tower in New York

MONFALCONE - The series of shipments to New York for the “Vessel” structure in Manhattan, NY, were concluded during the last few days and maintained of a reserved nature upon the customer’s request.

Compagnia portuale of Monfalcone (CPM) has taken care of curating all shipments and services on account for Cimolai of Pordenone, which has produced all the necessary components for the construction of the Vessel during the last few months. The tower is comparable to the Eiffel Tower in impact and was a project created by english designer Thomas Heatherwick. It is rising in the park inside Hudson Yard and will be 45m high, with a stainless steel, bronze and cement structure, composed of 150 stairway ramps and 2.500 steps. The cost is estimated at approximately 150 million dollars.
